The main reason whether your home business takes off, or crashes into a screaming heap, is all in your head. If your heads’ not in the game now is the time to get it in the game or the game will be over, and you will have lost. The worst part is that you won’t have even seen it coming. What is the difference between successful people and those who don’t succeed? Belief, that’s what! Those who believe in themselves and in their business opportunity will succeed, all of the others will fail, and fail miserably.
So, what are you going to do about it? Cry yourself to sleep convinced you are an absolute failure, or pull your head out of your own behind and get your game face on? The latter seems like the best option to me. So why did you get into your Network Marketing program in the first place? The answer may be obvious, but lets indulge me anyway. First, you obviously saw an opportunity that could make you some good money or you wouldn’t have made a start, then you probably thought of some other people you know who could also benefit from the opportunity. I bet you also had some pretty big dreams about how the opportunity would change your lifestyle, whether it was to pay off your debt, buy that car you always wanted, help your elderly parents on the pension to live a better lifestyle too, go on exotic overseas holidays, help out your favourite charities, the list goes on and on. So, how does it all look now? Probably not so great.
Am I talking to you having come from a place of experience? Absolutely!
Right, so here’s what you are going to do to stop the pain that you are currently feeling and get back on track:
•Make a list of positive people who you know you can show your opportunity to. Warning, keep away from the nay sayers; they will only bring you down and destroy your soul
•Get your sponsor involved. Remember them? They were the ones who convinced you that this fantastic business was right for you in the first place. Tell them that you are now serious about this business and that you want their help
•Get out there and start talking to people. You won’t succeed by being a hermit. Hermits don’t tend to come across a whole lot of people on a day to day basis
•Read, read, read positive reinforcement books to build your self-esteem and to get those big dreams back into your head
•Make a list of the things you want, stick them up on a board so you can see daily, go see and touch them, and try them out too. Go test drive that car, check out the open homes, go to holiday seminars. Whatever it takes, do it!
•Make a plan how to market your business, word of mouth, ask for referrals, advertise in the paper, create a website, drive traffic to your site, talk to professionals who know about all this internet stuff, write articles like this one, blog, join business groups, get on social media, buy lists, whatever gets things happening
•Keep going until you get results, then still keep going and get more results
•Continue to try out new ideas and measure the results to see what works best
Finally, one last statement. Keep in the front of your mind this business that you have in your hands is a great business, and it is worth showing to people, and it could even change other peoples lives. Also remember to always approach your business that you are helping people and you’re not just trying to get into their pockets to grab the cash. Trust me, they will know.
